Pakistan to play T20I tri-series with Afghanistan and UAE before Asia Cup 2025

Just before the start of the Asia Cup 2025 campaign, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and the United Arab Emirates national teams are set to clash against each other in a T20I tri-series at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium in Sharjah. The tri-series is scheduled to start on Friday, August 29.

The competition is set to follow the double round-robin format with all teams playing each other two times in the league stage before the top two sides making it to the final, scheduled to take place on Sunday, September 7.

Friday, August 29: Afghanistan vs Pakistan, Sharjah, 8:30 PM IST

Saturday, August 30: UAE vs Pakistan, Sharjah, 8:30 PM IST

Monday, September 1: Afghanistan vs UAE, Sharjah, 8:30 PM IST

Tuesday, September 2: Pakistan vs Afghanistan, Sharjah, 8:30 PM IST

Thursday, September 4: Pakistan vs UAE, Sharjah, 8:30 PM IST

Friday, September 5: Afghanistan vs UAE, Sharjah, 8:30 PM IST

Sunday, September 7: Final, Sharjah, 8:30 PM IST

It’s important to note that the Asia Cup 2025 is scheduled to start on Tuesday, September 29, in two different groups. Notably, India, UAE, Pakistan, and Oman are part of Group A, with Afghanistan, Hong Kong, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka included in Group B.

Notably, India is all set to take on the United Arab Emirates on Wednesday, September 10. Subsequently, they will clash against the arch-rivals Pakistan in their second contest of the campaign on Sunday, September 14. Men In Blue’s last league game is scheduled against Oman on Friday, September 19.

Moreover, the top two teams from each group will make it to the Super Four stage, with the top two teams from there making it to the grand finale.
