Fans ask Virat Kohli to retire

Star Indian batter Virat Kohli once again failed to make an impact as he was dismissed for just six runs in the second innings of the fifth Test of the Border Gavaskar Trophy at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Saturday.

Kohli once again fell into the trap of the delivery outside off-stump by Scott Boland. The ball pitched on the line outside off-stump and straightened and Kohli couldn't help but poke at the delivery and was caught by Steve Smith in the second slip.

Kohli was absolutely livid with himself after edging the delivery as he knew he had been dismissed several times in the series by falling in the same trap.

Fans on Twitter were also angry with Kohli as the latter showed no improvement in the way he applied himself against deliveries outside off stump. Some even asked for the retirement of Virat Kohli, claiming that he no longer had the hunger to succeed in Test cricket.

India in dire straits in the second innings

India bowled Australia out for 181 and took a lead of four runs in their second innings. However, their batting has faltered once again to live up to their expectations. It all began when Scott Boland cleaned up both KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal with two absolute beauties.

Kohli then followed by poking at a delivery outside off stump. Rishabh Pant played a sensational cameo of 61 off 33 balls but was dismissed by Pat Cummins. With already six wickets down and Boland picking up four of them, India ended the day's play with their remaining four wickets in hand.
