Quetta Gladiators have been chasing the Pakistan Super League (PSL) for the last six years now. They won the tournament for the first time in 2019 but since then, they haven’t even qualified for the final. With Saud Shakeel at the helm now, the franchise will be hoping to at least be consistent right through the season.

The Gladiators, in a bid to end their title drought, made a few interesting picks in the players draft in January 2025. It is now a formidable squad of 20 players and choosing the best XI from it will be a challenge for the management. Here’s the best XI of Quetta Gladiators for PSL 2025.

The Gladiators captain Saud Shakeel will open the innings with New Zealand’s fiery opening batter Finn Allen. They will provide the left-right combination as well while their contrasting styles of play will complement each other as well. Veteran Rilee Rossouw will come in to bat at number three as the Gladiators will hope that he uses all his experience to score runs.

Khawaja Nafay is an aggressive middle-order batter who makes things happen even in tough conditions. His urgency to score runs will be needed for the Quetta side if they lose early wickets. Another veteran Shoaib Malik is part of this side who has the ability to win matches single-handedly for the franchise.

Haseebullah Khan can be that pinch hitter kind of a player in this XI who can also be a floater to score runs at a fast pace to disturb the rhythm of the opposition team. Sean Abbott has proved time and again, his ability to bowl four overs and can bat at seven. He does the same for Sydney Sixers in the Big Bash League (BBL) and has been very successful in the role.

Akeal Hosein and Abrar Ahmed are the two spinners with the former even taking the new ball at times to put early pressure on the batters. The fast bowling attack comprises veteran Mohammad Amir and Mohammad Wasim Jr with Abbott to assist as well.
