Rashid Khan is the best T20 bowler in the world: R Sai Kishore

Gujarat Titans strengthened their pole position on the points table in the ongoing IPL 2025 season after defeating Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata by 39 runs on Monday, April 21.

Titans spinner R Sai Kishore hailed the star bowler Rashid Khan, who scalped two wickets against KKR, conceding 25 runs in four overs to turn the game upside down. Rashid scalped the wickets of Sunil Narine and Andre Russell.

Talking about the Afghanistan spinner, Sai stated that the team never doubted his skills and abilities. Moreover, he called him the best bowler in the shortest format of the game. Rashid getting back to form lifts the confidence of the whole team, according to Kishore.

“It's definitely great to see him back. As a team, we never doubted him—never doubted his abilities. He’s the best T20 bowler in the world. I think he’s taken the most wickets in the format - I'm not exactly sure about the stats, but I believe he’s right up there. It’s just good to have him back,” Sai Kishore said in the post-match press conference.

“In T20s, you don’t always go hunting for wickets. They often come as a result of how well you defend. It’s not like red-ball cricket where you work hard to create those chances—here, wickets are more of a by-product. So it’s great to see him picking up wickets again. He’s back in form, and that really lifts the confidence of the whole team,” he added.

In eight games in IPL 2025, Rashid has taken six wickets, but has an economy rate of 9.26. The Titans will next be up against the Rajasthan Royals (RR) on April 28 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Monday, April 28.
