Former Indian keeper-batter and commentator Parthiv Patel has backed Ravindra Jadeja as the best all-rounder in the world, surpassing Pat Cummins, Ben Stokes, and Shakib Al Hasan in the list.

Speaking exclusively on JioHotstar, Parthiv heaped praise on Ravindra Jadeja, who bagged the player of the match award in the first Test against the West Indies, scoring an unbeaten 104 and picking up 4/54 in the second innings as India bagged an innings and 140-run victory.

Furthermore, the former keeper-batter also expected Jadeja to surpass 400 wickets and 4000 Test runs by the end of his career, adding that he is currently the No.1 all-rounder without any debate.

“Jadeja is undoubtedly India’s greatest all-rounder. With nearly 4,000 runs and approaching 335 wickets, I expect him to surpass 400 wickets and 4,000 runs by the end of his career, which is a monumental achievement. On the global stage, he is currently the number one all-rounder, there is no debate about it,” Parthiv Patel said on JioHotstar.

“While names like Ben Stokes, Pat Cummins, and Shakib Al Hasan come up, Jadeja stands far ahead. His exceptional consistency as both, a bowler and batter, across all conditions, sets him apart. It’s not just occasional brilliance; it’s sustained performance that solidifies his position as the world’s best all-rounder at present,” he added.

For the unversed, Jadeja is currently the top-ranked all-rounder in the longest format of the game with 405 rating points. He has accumulated 3990 runs in his Test career at an average of 38.73 with six centuries and 27 half-centuries. He has also pocketed 334 wickets at an average of 25.07 with 15 five-wicket hauls and three ten-wicket hauls.

In the recent five-match Test series in the Anderson Tendulkar Trophy in England, Jadeja ended as the fourth-highest run-scorer of the five-match series in England with 516 runs from 10 innings at an average of 86 with one century and five fifties to his name. Also, he racked up seven wickets in the series.
