Current Indian and KKR cricketer Rinku Singh is reportedly all set to tie the knot with Samajwadi Party MP Priya Saroj on 18 November 2025. Priya’s father, SP MLA from Kerakat in Jaunpur, Tufani Saroj, has already confirmed the date while speaking to TOI on Sunday, 1 June.
He said that the engagement ceremony will take place on 8 June in Lucknow, and the wedding on 18 November is set to happen at Hotel Tak in Varanasi. Many cricket stars, film industry personalities, and industrialists are expected to attend the event.
Earlier in January, Tufani Saroj announced that the initial rounds of meetings had been completed between the two families and that his daughter would soon marry the IPL 2024 champion.
Rinku and Priya reportedly met through a friend’s father. As Rinku was busy with the home T20I series against England and then IPL 2025, both families mutually agreed to finalise the dates later—and now, they have been confirmed.
Rinku Singh scored 206 runs in IPL 2025
However, Rinku had a rather ordinary season for KKR in IPL 2025. He scored only 206 runs in 11 innings, with an average of 29.42 and a strike rate of 153.73. Not only Rinku individually, but the team also struggled throughout the tournament.
Coming into the 2025 edition as defending champions, KKR failed to live up to expectations. They eventually finished in eighth place on the points table, with just 12 points from 14 games and a net run rate of -0.305.
There were high expectations from KKR's middle order, which included Rinku Singh and Andre Russell. But they failed to deliver the consistency the team needed. Speaking on that during the season, former KKR player Aakash Chopra expressed his disappointment with their performances on his YouTube channel.
“The batting has depth, but it has become a concern because very few people are pulling their weight in the side. Rahane and Raghuvanshi are playing well. Apart from them, everyone is mercurial. Venkatesh Iyer played one good innings. Quinton de Kock has played one good inning. Sunil Narine has played an odd good innings. Russell, Rinku and Ramandeep haven't played a single good innings thus far. That is your problem," he said.
