Pakistan T20I skipper Salman Ali Agha has come out hard on the Indian team, led by Suryakumar Yadav, stating that the Men In Blue brought disrespect to the game of cricket by not shaking hands with his players throughout the campaign.

Speaking in the post-match press conference, Salman Agha vented out his frustration over the handshake drama that caught the limelight throughout the showpiece event. While India stunned Pakistan by seven wickets in the group stage, they continued their winning momentum with a six-wicket win in the Super Four clash.

"What India has done in this tournament is very disappointing. They are not disrespecting us by not shaking hands; they are disrespecting cricket. Good teams don't do what they did," Salman Ali Agha said in the post-match press conference.

Additionally, the Pakistan skipper didn’t like the way Suryakumar Yadav didn't pose with the trophy alongside him ahead of the grand finale, adding that the Indian captain decided to shake hands with him in private ahead of the tournament, but his attitude changed suddenly in front of the cameras.

"We went to pose with the trophy (photo shoot) on our own because we wanted to fulfil our obligations. We stood there and took our medals. I don't want to use harsh words, but they've been very disrespectful,” he added.

"He shook hands with me in private at the start of the tournament, both at the pre-tournament press conference, and when we met in the referee's meeting. But when they're out in the world in front of the cameras, they don't shake our hands,” he asserted.

Team India decided not to collect the Asia Cup 2025 title from the ACC and PCB Chief Mohsin Naqvi, who took the trophy with him to the hotel.
