Shubman Gill addresses rumors of dating Sara Ali Khan and Sara Tendulkar

Shubman Gill is currently one of the most talented players in the Indian cricket squad. The 25-year-old Punjab batter serves as both the Indian team's vice-captain and opener in One-Day International cricket. Additionally, he leads the Gujarat Titans as captain in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL 2025).

In recent years, Shubman has made headlines not just for his cricketing prowess but also due to rumors linking him with other young and prominent personalities. Most notably, he has been associated with Sara Tendulkar, the daughter of cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar. Actors Sara Ali Khan and Avneet Kaur have also been connected to him.

During Sara Ali Khan's appearance on Koffee with Karan Season 8, host and director Karan Johar questioned her about her alleged connection with Shubman Gill. Responding to the stadium crowd's chants of "Sara! Sara!" while Shubman was batting, the actress humorously replied, "You’ve got the wrong Sara, guys! Sara ka sara duniya galat Sara ke peechhe pada hai (The whole world is after the wrong Sara)."

Appearing on the Punjabi talk show Dil Diyan Gallan, hosted by Sonam Bajwa, Shubman was directly asked if he is dating Sara. He responded cryptically, saying, "Maybe. Sara da sara sach bol diya (I have told the truth). Maybe, maybe not."

Shubman Gill denies time for relationships amid dating rumors

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, Shubman Gill revealed that he has been single for over three years, despite persistent rumors.

“There have been so many rumors and speculations linking me with different people. Sometimes, they are so absurd that I’ve never even seen or met the person in question. Right now, my focus is entirely on my professional career. I don’t have the time or space in my life to be in a relationship. We are on the road for 300 days a year, traveling constantly. There’s barely any time to invest in a relationship,” Shubman shared with The Hollywood Reporter India.

Meanwhile, Avneet Kaur, a 26-year-old actor known for starring opposite Nawazuddin Siddiqui in Sai Kabir's romantic film Tiku Weds Sheru (2023), has also been linked to Shubman Gill.
