India Women’s team’s ODI World Cup–winning vice-captain Smriti Mandhana has finally posted on her Instagram handle for the first time since her wedding with music composer Palash Muchhal was postponed on November 23.
Unfortunately, on the day of the wedding, Mandhana’s father, Srinivas, fell ill and had to be admitted to a hospital in Sangli. Notably, Sangli is Mandhana’s hometown. Later, it was found that Palash also had to be admitted to a hospital as he fell sick the next day. Both of them were discharged, but the new wedding date is still not confirmed by either Smriti Mandhana, Palash Muchhal, or their families.
After these incidents, Mandhana removed all her wedding-related posts, photos, and videos from her social media accounts. Now, she has finally shared a new video, which seems to be a paid partnership with a well-known toothpaste brand.
But what caught the attention of fans was the missing engagement ring on her hand. Whether the ad was shot before the engagement is not confirmed yet, but fans noticed this and shared their views on social media platforms, even in the comments of that post.
“Everything will be fine, shaadi bohot jaldi hogi.” - Palash Muchhal’s mother, Amita
However, Palash Muchhal’s mother, Amita, has already said she is hopeful that the wedding will happen soon, as it has been a hard time for both Smriti and Palash because of what has happened in the last few days. In an exclusive chat with Hindustan Times, she sounded hopeful and said: “Smriti and Palash dono takleef mein hain... Palash dreamt of coming home with his bride. I had even planned a special welcome... Everything will be fine, shaadi bohot jaldi hogi.”
Palash Muchhal’s sister, the well-known singer Palak Muchhal, also spoke about the situation in a recent chat with Filmfare. She urged fans to stay positive rather than negative during this tough time. “I think the families have been through a very, very tough time, and I would just want to repeat that we would like to believe in positivity in this time,” Palak said.
Both Smriti and Palash reportedly started dating in 2019.
