MS Dhoni's cameo hinted by director in a bigwig South film of Vijay

The Greatest Of All Time (also marketed as GOAT), which is helmed by the renowned Venkat Prabhu and stars the always popular Thalapathy aka Vijay, may just include former India star and World Cup-winning captain MS Dhoni. The director of the movie disclosed in an interview that there will be a sequence in which a glimpse of a Chennai Super Kings game is shown, which has increased the excitement among devoted Kollywood fans.

In a recent interview, Venkat said, "We are featuring a CSK match in a scene in the GOAT movie - you know who will make an appearance on the screen..." This statement has raised a lot of speculations about the legendary cricketer finally making his acting debut.

MS Dhoni to make his acting debut:

On September 5, 2024, the movie is scheduled to open in theatres in both normal and IMAX formats. The remark regarding Dhoni has caused speculation and excitement among his fans, even if Dhoni's job is still unclear and sparse at this time.   

With a projected budget of ₹300–400 crore, GOAT is a high-end science fiction Tamil film featuring time travel elements. In the movie, Vijay plays two roles: father and son. It is anticipated to make a lot of money when it opens in theatres. The film stars Prabhu Deva, Sneha, Laila, Jayaram, and Yogi Babu among its magnificent cast. Time travel is one of the movie's central themes.

It's interesting to note that Dhoni has never before been in a movie. But in 2016, a 190-minute sports/drama biography titled "M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story" was released. Sushant Singh Rajput was the star actor portraying Dhoni. In addition, last year, Dhoni and Sakshi Dhoni collaborated on a Tamil romantic-comedy film that was helmed by Ramesh Thamilmani, making his directorial debut.
