Former Indian captain Virat Kohli took to X (Formerly Twitter) to heap praise on the Indian Women’s team, led by Harmanpreet Kaur, for bagging a sensational five-wicket win over the Australia Women’s team in the second semi-final to make it to the grand finale.

For the unversed, Jemimah Rodrigues played an exceptional 127-run unbeaten knock in the knockout to help India propel to the final against South Africa Women, scheduled to be played in Navi Mumbai on Sunday, November 2.

“What a victory by our team over a mighty opponent like Australia. A great chase by the girls and a standout performance by Jemimah in a big game. A true display of resilience, belief, and passion. Well done, Team India,” Kohli wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

Under pressure, with the world watching @ImHarmanpreet played with the calm and conviction of a true leader while @JemiRodrigues brought pure focus and intent to play an innings of a lifetime! This partnership came from belief in their own game, in each other, and in what this team stands for. A historic semi final to win and on to the finals now!” Yuvraj Singh wrote.
