In the opening T20 International of the three-match series against Bangladesh on Sunday, Hardik Pandya hit a no-look ramp shot with such confidence that if it wasn't played earlier, he could seek a patent for it. The all-rounder was off a ball from Taskin Ahmed.

The economical period of Arshdeep Singh, the explosive debut of Mayank Yadav, and the outstanding comeback of Varun Chakravarthy to the national team all took a backseat when Hardik Pandya struck one of his elegant no-look shots out of the blue. India needed just 10 runs to defeat Bangladesh's 128-run mark in the opening Twenty20 International of the three-match series in Gwalior.

Hardik Pandya wins over internet:

Hardik gave Taskin Ahmed a chilly look as he skilfully steered a short delivery that was angling into him for a one-bounce boundary that went over the wicketkeeper's head. Usually, one would anticipate that the hitter would run, or at the very least, look at the direction the ball had taken after striking the willow.

But Hardik didn't do any of the above; instead, he just gave Taskin a chilly look following the shot's flawless execution. As he returned to the top of his mark, Taskin, who had already been thoroughly embarrassed in his previous two overs, took it in stride and simply laughed at Hardik's incredible gameplay.

It wouldn't take long for the no-look ramp photo to become a social media talking topic and go global. In T20 cricket, Pandya demonstrated his value as an all-around player once more by taking a wicket and amassing an undefeated quickfire of 39 runs off 16 balls, replete with two sixes and five fence smashes. India took a 1-0 series lead after winning the match by seven wickets thanks to Pandya's outstanding all-around performance. India achieved a little milestone by winning the match with 49 balls remaining after the Pandya knock.
