What is Ishan Kishan’s IPL 2025 salary?

Ishan Kishan sizzled on debut for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) against Rajasthan Royals (RR) in their opening game of the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). He slammed his maiden IPL century, scoring an unbeaten 106 off just 47 deliveries at a strike rate of 225.53 with 11 fours and six sixes to his name.

He is batting at number three for his new team and Kishan will be looking forward to scoring a lot of runs in the ongoing IPL season. For the unversed, he played for Mumbai Indians from 2018 to 2024 and did extremely well before he was released ahead of the mega auction. Prior to that, the southpaw started his IPL career for now-defunct Gujarat Lions in IPL 2016 and 2017.

In the mega auction, SRH secured his services for a massive amount of Rs 11.25 crore. They won the bidding war against Mumbai Indians, Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals to grab hold of the left-handed aggressive batter. Interestingly, the five-time champions MI didn’t use the Right to Match (RTM) card for him.

SRH’s decision to splurge such a huge amount of money on Kishan seems to have worked wonders as of now with the cricketer starting the IPL 2025 season on a high. The way the team has formed this season, Kishan gets the freedom to go on all out attack right from ball one and that may work wonders for him eventually.

As far as his IPL career is concerned, the 26-year-old has played 106 IPL matches so far and amassed 2750 runs in 100 innings at an average of 29.56 and a strike rate of 137.98 with 16 fifties and one century. His strike rate seems certain to go up this season in case he keeps on batting aggressively for the rest of the season.

With a place in the Indian team up for grabs and the T20 World Cup set to be played at home next year, Kishan will be keen on being consistent and at the same time, score a lot of runs.
