What is Sai Sudharsan’s IPL 2025 salary?

Stylish left-handed batter Sai Sudharsan is playing for Gujarat Titans in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). He got off to a brilliant start this season smashing 74 runs at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad against Punjab Kings in the team’s opening game.

For the unversed, Sudharsan started his IPL career only in 2022 when Gujarat Titans also made their debut in the cash-rich league. He was picked by the franchise for just Rs 20 lakh and the southpaw impressed many with his skills at the top of the order.

In his debut season, Sudharsan scored 145 runs in five matches at a strike rate of 127.19 and an average of 36.25. However, his breakthrough season was in the 2023 season where he amassed 362 runs in just eight matches at a strike rate of 141.4 and an average of 51.71.

The 23-year-old youngster got a full season for the first time last season and he made sure that his performance was taken note of. The man smashed 527 runs at a strike rate of 180.48 in 12 matches with a century and two fifties to his name.

Gujarat Titans rewarded him for his excellent show in three years and decided to retain him for an amount of Rs 8.5 crore. This is his salary in IPL 2025 and is very much likely to open his innings this year. He has started off well with a 74-run knock but given the high-scoring nature of the season, Sudharsan will have to be consistent and might have to up his strike rate as well.

Overall, Sudharsan has so far played 26 matches in IPL and scored 1108 runs at an average of 48.17 and a strike rate of 141.32 with seven fifties and a century. On the back of an impressive show in IPL, Sudharsan also made his India debut. He played three ODIs on South Africa tour in December 2023 and scored 127 runs with two fifties at an average of 63.5.
