According to a BCCI source who is aware of the broadcaster's and production teams' moves, they hope that, with the exception of Dharamsala, the crew at every other location specified in the original IPL schedule has been asked to remain in their current positions.

Convincing international players to rejoin the event after a safe route out was developed is one of the teams' toughest obstacles going forward. If all goes according to plan, the Board might consider a potential restart on May 16 or 17 and add more doubleheaders to finish the tournament by the end of the month.

Both options—remaining at the previous locations and also relocating matches to the south and east—are currently being discussed. The two remaining matches that were supposed to take place in Dharamsala will probably end up taking place in Ahmedabad. The Punjab Kings vs. Delhi Capitals game at Dharamsala, which was stopped in the middle of the first innings on Thursday, will probably be replayed.
