When will IPL 2025 resume?

India and Pakistan agreed to a complete and immediate ceasefire on Saturday, according to reports, and the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 will reportedly resume next week. This ended four days of cross-border combat between the two nuclear-armed countries. Due to the circumstances, the BCCI halted the IPL 2025 on Friday; nevertheless, the league is currently making rapid progress to resume its normal operations. But Pakistan shattered the ceasefire in just a few hours, making the situation worse.

The schedule for the remaining matchups may be made public as early as Sunday, according to reports. According to a BCCI source who is aware of the broadcaster's and production teams' moves, they hope that, with the exception of Dharamsala, the crew at every other location specified in the original IPL schedule has been asked to remain in their current positions.

Convincing international players to rejoin the event after a safe route out was developed is one of the teams' toughest obstacles going forward. If all goes according to plan, the Board might consider a potential restart on May 16 or 17 and add more doubleheaders to finish the tournament by the end of the month.

Both options—remaining at the previous locations and also relocating matches to the south and east—are currently being discussed. The two remaining matches that were supposed to take place in Dharamsala will probably end up taking place in Ahmedabad. The Punjab Kings vs. Delhi Capitals game at Dharamsala, which was stopped in the middle of the first innings on Thursday, will probably be replayed.

Even the possibility of an instant restart would have been a big relief to the BCCI. This eliminates the hassle of trying to locate a different window in September. They would need to look at the dates of the Asia Cup in order to do so. The other issue with the busy international schedule is making sure that players from other countries are available.
