With a brilliant knock of 138 off 122 balls, including 12 fours and two sixes, Aman Mokhade was Vidarbha's best player. In addition to leading Vidarbha to the final, his innings saw him tie a long-standing record. With his fifth century of the year, Mokhade tied N Jagadeesan for the most centuries in a single Vijay Hazare Trophy campaign. The accomplishment was made by Jagadeesan in the 2022–2023 season.
At the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru, the feat moment occurred during the first semi-final of the Vijay Hazare Trophy against Karnataka. Vidarbha defeated the reigning champions by six wickets thanks to Mokhade's outstanding effort of 138 from 122 balls. In the process, the 24-year-old surpassed Indians Devdutt Padikkal and Abhinav Mukund, who needed 17 innings, and tied former South Africa great Graeme Pollock, who also reached 1000 List A runs in 16 innings.

Abhilash Shetty dismissed opener Atharva Taide for six early in the chase, putting Vidarbha at 9/1 in 3.3 overs. After that, Dhruv Shorey joined Mokhade at the crease, and their strong 98-run combination helped to steady the innings. Before being removed, Shorey played a calm knock of 47 off 64 balls.
With 781 runs at an average of 97.62 across nine innings, Mokhade stands as the tournament's top run scorer. He has already amassed five hundreds and a fifty, which is tied for the most by any hitter in a single competition. He scored 110 against Bengal to start the season, then 82 against Hyderabad and 139 against Jammu & Kashmir. Before doing well in the semi-final, he recovered from a minor downturn against Chandigarh with consecutive hundreds against Baroda and Uttar Pradesh.
In the first leg of the 2025–26 Ranji Trophy, the 25-year-old scored 577 runs at an average of 96.16 in seven innings, including three hundreds. In the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, he was also Vidarbha's top run scorer. Mokhade had been sidelined until this breakout season after making his domestic debut in 2022–2023. He is now well-known as a reliable top-order hitter thanks to the current campaign.
