WPL 2026: Delhi Capitals (DC) Women full schedule and squad

Delhi Capitals (DC) are yet to win their maiden WPL title despite playing three consecutive finals in three seasons. Each time, they fell short and failed to cross the finish line. Ahead of the 2026 season, they did not retain their skipper, Meg Lanning, but after the recent mega auction, they have assembled a strong 16-member squad.

DC will play their first game of the season on January 10 in Navi Mumbai against the Mumbai Indians (MI). After playing their first four games in Navi Mumbai, they will play the last four games in Vadodara. Top players like Jemimah Rodrigues, Laura Wolvaardt, Annabel Sutherland, Marizanne Kapp, and Shafali Verma will be in action. 

Young Indian players like Niki Prasad and Deeya Yadav could use this as a big platform to take their game to the next level. On February 1, they will play their last group-stage game against UP Warriorz (UPW).

Another aspect DC fans are keeping an eye on is who will be the new captain. Laura Wolvaardt, the South Africa Women’s team skipper, is an option. But DC co-owner Parth Jindal has already made it clear that an Indian player will lead the side despite including Wolvaardt in the leadership group. 

“We already have our minds made up. Laura will add a lot of leadership to the dressing room, but we are clear about wanting an Indian captain,” he said. Therefore, it seems that Jemimah Rodrigues could be the new leader heading into the upcoming WPL season.
