WPL 2026: Gujarat Giants (GG) Women full schedule and squad

Gujarat Giants (GG) are still searching for their maiden WPL title, and the upcoming 2026 season could be the one in which they hope to achieve it. Last year, GG qualified for the playoffs after finishing in the third spot at the end of the group stage with eight points in eight games (four wins, four losses). 

However, they lost the playoff clash against the Mumbai Indians (MI), the eventual winners, and were knocked out. But this time, with a decent 18-member squad, they will look to push for the title.

On January 10, they will begin their season by facing the UP Warriorz (UPW) in Navi Mumbai. They will play their first four games in Navi Mumbai, followed by four games in Vadodara. On January 30, their last group-stage game will be against MI.

Eyes will be on players like Titas Sadhu, Yastika Bhatia, and Kashvee Gautam. All these players will look to use this opportunity to make a comeback into the international setup. Overseas players like Danni Wyatt-Hodge, Sophie Devine, and Georgia Wareham will be key as well. 

In the ongoing Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL), Danni and Wareham have been delivering consistent performances for their respective teams, which played a huge role in helping them secure a WPL deal. Most likely, Ashleigh Gardner will lead the team, as she, along with her Aussie teammate Beth Mooney, was the only two players retained by the franchise ahead of the next season.
