In Match 14 of the Women's Premier League 2026 at Vadodara, Gujarat Giants Women defeated UP Warriorz Women by 45 runs thanks to a clinical effort. Sophie Devine's brilliant knock helped Gujarat reach 153/8 after being called in to bat. Gujarat's pace was interrupted by early wickets, but Devine masterfully anchored the innings, making sure they surpassed the 150-run threshold despite frequent breakthroughs.
Sophie Devine, an all-rounder from New Zealand, guided GG to 153/8 on a sluggish pitch with an undefeated 50 off 42 balls. GG's three-match losing trend came to an end as UPW was bowled out for 108 in 17.3 overs, with left-arm spinner Rajeshwari Gayakwad returning to the team with an outstanding 3-16 and Sophie taking two wickets.

Kiran Navgire was stumped for a duck early in UPW's innings. UPW faltered at 46/2 by the end of the powerplay after some early boundaries from Meg Lanning and Phoebe Litchfield. UPW was further derailed by the swift removal of important players, such as Phoebe for 32 and Harleen Deol. Deepti Sharma and Shweta Sehrawat were removed during Rajeshwari's pivotal era. Sophie Devine sealed a commanding GG effort by finishing the inning.

The UP Warriorz's chase was destroyed by Rajeshwari Gayakwad's clinical bowling session. With an LBW judgment, she dismissed Deepti Sharma with figures of 3 for 16 from four overs. She then cleaned up the bottom middle order by removing Asha Sobhana and Shweta Sehrawat. Her total now stands at six wickets in four innings.
