Yograj Singh backs fearless Rohit Sharma’s India to win Champions Trophy

Former Indian cricketer Yograj Singh has strongly backed India to claim the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 title, predicting that Rohit Sharma and his team will defeat New Zealand in the final. Speaking on his YouTube channel, Yograj Singh clarified that his belief in India’s victory is not merely a prediction but a conclusion based on thorough analysis. “It is not about prediction, it is about study. Many people talk about Rohit Sharma and complain that he isn’t scoring runs. Look at the impact that he has on the team by playing at the top-order. If he is scoring 20-30 runs, its impact shows that he is a fearless player and the team is going to play fearless cricket. All the youngsters are following it. They are coming out of their comfort zone and playing,” Yograj Singh said.

Yograj Singh highlighted how India’s aggressive approach, dating back to the Sourav Ganguly-Virender Sehwag era, has continued under Rohit Sharma. He pointed out that this attacking mindset has been ingrained in Indian cricket for the past 20-25 years and has played a crucial role in shaping the team’s success.

He also credited Gautam Gambhir’s involvement in the team setup, stating that his presence has brought additional belief and intensity to the squad. Calling their leadership a “magic” combination, he expressed confidence that India’s fearless approach will be the key to their triumph in the final.
