Former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh’s father, Yograj Singh, has come up with a new controversial statement on the former Indian captains, MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli. Notably, the former all-rounder played under both captains.
Speaking to InsideSport, Yograj asserted that there are no friends in the sphere of success, money, and glory. However, he added that there were always backstabbers and people wanted to put you down, taking the names of Dhoni and Kohli.
Yograj also felt that the likes of Kohli and Dhoni were scared about losing their positions to Yuvraj, and termed them as "backstabbers".
"As I told you, there are no friends in the sphere of success, money and glory. There were always backstabbers, people who wanted to put you down. People were scared of Yuvraj Singh because they were afraid where he would usurp their seats because he was such a great player created by the God Almighty. He has been the greatest of players, who they were scared - right from MS Dhoni, everybody - 'oh he might take my chair," said Yograj while speaking to InsideSport.

Notably, Yuvraj played a total of 402 international matches for India from 2000 to 2017, accumulating 11,178 runs at an average of 35.05, with 17 centuries and 71 fifties. Moreover, he also scalped 148 wickets across three formats.
It’s important to note that Yuvraj was a part of the Indian team that won the 2002 Champions Trophy with Sri Lanka, the 2007 T20 World Cup, and the 2011 ODI World Cup.
In the same interview, Yograj also opened up on the ongoing hookah controversy involving Irfan Pathan and MS Dhoni. Yograj asserted that it's just about Pathan, but other former cricketers also talked openly against Dhoni.
“It is not only about Irfan Pathan. You see Gautam Gambhir speaking about it. Virender Sehwag openly said about it as well. Harbhajan Singh spoke about how he was put out of the team like a fly. You should arrange a jury on why he did what he did. MS Dhoni doesn’t want to answer. One who doesn’t want to answer has a guilty conscience,” Yograj added.
