For movie lovers, the second half of 2024 seems to be very interesting because a number of major films, like Jigra, starring Alia Bhatt, will be released in theatres in the upcoming months. Alia unveiled a new movie poster on Thursday, revealing her appearance in the Vasan Bala-directed picture, which stars her with Vedang Raina from The Archies.

In the striking new image, Alia seems taken aback when she finally has a glimpse of what her appearance in Jigra will be like in the distance. She had on a dirty blouse and dark jeans, and she was wearing a survival vest. In her hands, she had a hammer and other equipment. Alia's caption said, "Kahaani bahut lambi hai aur bhai ke paas waqt bahut bahut kam (The story is too long, but the time my brother has, too less)." Along with Vedang's latest poster, Alia shared it on Instagram a few hours earlier with the caption, "Tu mere protection mein hai (You are under my protection)."

After completing Jigra, which is produced by both Alia's production company, Eternal Sunshine Productions, and Dharma Productions, she posted images from the sets on social media in February 2024. For their first on-screen partnership, director Vasan Bala—who has previously directed movies like Peddlers, Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota, and Monica O My Darling—has teamed up with Alia.

In September of last year, Jigra was revealed. The trailer for the movie hinted that it was about a sister who loved her brother and would stop at nothing to keep him safe. Vedang made his feature film debut with Zoya Akhtar's The Archies last year. Jigra is his second film.

The revised release date for Jigra was revealed by the film's creators in June. Originally scheduled for release on September 27, 2024, viewers can now see it in theatres starting on October 11. The much-anticipated pan-Indian film Devara: Part 1 directed by Telugu superstar Jr. NTR was the source of the announcement, which was made on September 27.
