Kareena Kapoor Khan and Shahid Kapoor's reunion at the IIFA 2025 press conference in Jaipur last week was the only topic Bollywood fans could discuss. After ten years, fans were shocked when the ex-lovers finally made the decision to speak and give each other a big embrace in public.

On social media, the videos and images have gone viral, and many people are feeling very sentimental about watching their favourite pair finally communicate and treat one another with kindness. The cuts that include the songs from their film Jab We Met have been shared by a lot of admirers. Imtiaz Ali, the film's director, has now expressed his own response.

Kareena and Shahid stir Jab We Met 2 rumours:

Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan were last seen together as a love couple in the film Jab We Met. The two never shared the screen, even though they collaborated on Udta Punjab in 2016. Imtiaz Ali responded to Shahid and Kareena's reunion as well as the follow-up to his 2027 blockbuster movie in an interview.

The Rockstar director told PTI, "Actually, I find it very interesting that Shahid and Kareena met up in IIFA and people are talking to me about Jab We Met. Shahid has said that he thinks that I have moved on, but I think that everybody has moved on. It's been a long time since 'Jab We Met'.

Talking about the film sequel, Imtiaz Ali said, "I think we should savour that and we should not spoil it by coming up with a sequel at all. I’m not really planning a movie with Shahid and Kareena per se, but it’s great that they met and they’re both very fantastic actors. I obviously had the greatest time working with both of them."

The filmmaker is also well-known for his roles in the films Love Aaj Kal, Rockstar, Tamasha, Highway, and Amar Singh Chamkila.
