The main question on everyone's mind with all the excitement surrounding Avengers: Doomsday is who will be taking on Robert Downy Jr.'s Dr. Doom. The wait is over, though, as Marvel will stream live on its social media channels throughout the day to announce the film's heroes. Marvel's official page, X, only tweeted the broadcast with the comment, "Take a seat."

Since the Avengers last came together in 2019's Endgame, the MCU has had a convoluted journey. However, in 2026's Avengers: Doomsday, they are coming together to confront a new menace. Marvel has revealed the main cast roster for the movie in a live stream on its YouTube page in preparation for the film's impending release, which will be part of a two-part tale alongside 2027's Avengers: Secret Wars.

Avengers Doomsday Cast Unveiled:

Chris Hemsworth, who plays Thor; Ebon Moss-Bachrach and Vanessa Kirby, who play Fantastic Four's Thing and Invisible Woman, respectively; Anthony Mackie, who has assumed the role of the New Captain America; Sebastian Stan, also known as The Winter Soldier; Letitia Wright, who plays Shuri in Black Panther; Paul Rudd, who plays Antman; Wyatt Russell, also known as Thunderbolts*' John Walker; and Simu Liu from Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings are among the celebrities who will make an appearance in Doomsday. The star-studded cast will also include Tenoch Huerta Mejía, who portrayed Black Panther: Wakanda Forever's anti-hero Namor

Instead of playing his longtime character, Tony Stark, also known as Iron Man, Downey Jr. will return to the MCU in Avengers: Doomsday as the malevolent Dr. Doom. The Russo Brothers, who have directed four earlier MCU movies, including Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame, will oversee this one.

The director-brother team of Anthony and Joe Russo is keeping the narrative of Avengers: Doomsday very secret. Since 2019's Avengers: Endgame, the two have not directed any MCU films or television shows. After a few years of under-the-radar projects, people are growing increasingly excited about Doomsday preparations, which makes anyone who remembers the Endgame frenzy feel a sense of déjà vu.
