According to reports, Ashneer Grover, the anchor of Rise & Fall and the former managing director of BharatPe, was duped by a fake casting call for Bigg Boss 19. The businessman posted a screenshot of an email inviting him to participate in the well-known reality show on social media. But a Bigg Boss insider has confirmed that this invitation is a fake.

Ashneer Grover posted a screenshot of an email he purportedly received from a reality show casting coordinator inviting him to participate as a wild card candidate on his Instagram Stories on Friday. While sharing a screenshot, Ashneer captioned it as, “Haha! Salman bhai se pooch le!! Mai to free ho jaaunga tab tak. Ye 'mail merge' kisi ki to naukri khayega (Haha! Ask Salman bhai! I'll be free by then. This 'mail merge' is going to take someone's job).”

Meanwhile, a source revealed,"Since Ashneer is already hosting a show by the same production house, it is impossible that he would be invited to participate in another one, which is also a captive reality."The email refers to Banijay Group India as the production company. However, Banijay Asia is the company behind Bigg Boss 19.

Ashneer's previous encounter with Salman Khan is brought back to mind by the invitation. Salman challenged Ashneer during his 2024 Bigg Boss 18 guest appearance because of his previous contentious comments. In a podcast, Ashneer said that he was not allowed to take a picture with Salman and that he had negotiated a lower brand ambassadorship pay with BharatPe, which was reduced from INR 7.5 crore to INR 4.5 crore.

With Ashneer's possible return to the Bigg Boss universe imminent, fans are interested in seeing how the chemistry between him and Salman would develop and whether Ashneer will return to the house as a wild card entry.
