Indian fans lost it when they learned that British rock band Coldplay would be visiting their country in January 2025 as part of their Music of the Spheres World Tour. Guy Berryman, Phile Harvey, Jonny Buckland, Will Champion, and Chris Martin will be visiting India soon. It is scheduled for January 18, 19, and 21, 2025. On September 22, the same tickets went on sale through BookMyShow, and the seats were quickly sold out. BMS is now being charged with operating a purported ticket scam.

Ashish Hemrajani, the CEO of Book My Show, was reportedly called by Mumbai Police in relation to the purported black sale of Coldplay India concert tickets. Interesting responses can be seen all over the internet after the story of the purported ticket scams made headlines. There was a post on a well-known Instagram page suggesting that the event would be cancelled. The post was shared on Reddit, where it has generated a lot of conversation.

Is Coldplay India concert in trouble?

Some people are hoping that the event is cancelled, while others have expressed confidence that it won't because of how well-liked the band is. "If it does get cancelled, rip to people who bought from scalpers," commented one commenter. As someone else put it on Reddit, "We kinda deserve it for what happened to the sales." "There's almost no way they are going to cancel the tour in India," remarked one more commenter.

A Reddit member said that they would be devastated if the performance was postponed as they had already purchased their tickets. "What about true fans like myself who succeeded in obtaining tickets? I'm thrilled that I managed to purchase two tickets, and I'll be devastated if Coldplay cancels their tour," a fan commented. "Weird conclusion, just because they're summoned by the cops doesn't mean the entire concert is cancelled," says one comment.

There has been no confirmation as of yet that the Coldplay concert in India has been cancelled. In the midst of the purported ticket scam, they are only rumours. Waiting for an official update from the organizers is our only option. The event will be held at Navi Mumbai's DY Patil Stadium.
