Deepika Padukone REPLACED By Triptii Dimri in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Spirit Starring Prabhas

The male lead of Sandeep Reddy Vanga's next film, Spirit, is Prabhas. The movie's female lead has been the subject of a lot of hullabaloo in recent days. For Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Spirit, Deepika Padukone was slated to work with Prabhas for the second time after Kalki 2898 AD. But according to accounts, the actress's demands gave the filmmaker "a shock of his life." Sandeep Reddy Vanga has now revealed that Triptii Dimri will play the lead role in his film.

Sandeep Reddy Vanga said that Triptii Dimri would play the female lead in Spirit on Saturday on X, formerly Twitter. He penned, “The female lead for my film is now official :-)." Triptii also shared the post on Instagram, writing, “Still sinking in…. 😍 So grateful to be trusted with this journey 🙏🏻 Thank you @sandeepreddy.vanga ..honoured to be a part of your vision.”

Ram Gopal Varma has responded to the tremendous outcry from netizens about Triptii Dimri's replacement of Deepika Padukone in Spirit. He said that Triptii Dimri would be the next big thing in Bollywood and praised her. He said, "Hey @imvangasandeep Going by both her tremendous screen presence and performance which you showcased in ANIMAL , I think your decision will make her the NEXT BIG THING IN BOLLWOOD far beyond the current BIGGIES …CONGRAAATS. @tripti_dimri23 High Time for your SPIRIT to FLY into the SKY."

Prior to this, Deepika Padukone was supposed to play Prabhas's opposite in the movie. But according to a source who spoke to Bollywood Hungama, “Sandeep Reddy Vanga got the shock of his life when Deepika Padukone refused to shoot for more than six hours a day for Spirit. That’s not all—the actress, via her agency, also began to demand amendments to the contract. Their main contention was simple: if the shoot extended beyond 100 days, Deepika would need to be paid extra for every single day beyond the agreed schedule.”

There is disagreement among netizens regarding Sandeep Reddy Vanga's selection since the story made headlines. Numerous admirers of Deepika Padukone have expressed their support for her. Others, however, are overjoyed to have Triptii Dimri on board. The majority of Prabhas' admirers think that his name alone will draw crowds to the theatres.

Spirit is Prabhas's second collaboration with director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, producer Bhushan Kumar, and Pranay Reddy Vanga after the success of Animal. It also represents the first-ever on-screen partnership between Prabhas and Triptii Dimri. With support from T-Series and Bhadrakali Pictures, Prabhas will play a tough and determined police officer in Spirit. Currently in pre-production, the movie is scheduled to begin production in 2025.
