Rohit Shetty Adds Folk Twist to Climax in Singham Again

According to a fresh source, filmmaker Rohit Shetty is filming more scenes for the climax of Ajay Devgn's Singham Again, which would have a stage set up with characters dressed as demons. According to a source cited in a Mid-day newspaper, Rohit is making sure that the cop movie's climax—which also stars Ranveer Singh and Akshay Kumar—lives up to the expectations of the audience. 

It has been claimed that Rohit has been filming further scenes at the Golden Tobacco factory in Vile Parle as the Diwali release's post-production is going on.  A source told the portal, "Rohit is filming a grand play-like scene and has many characters dressed as rakshasas, thus adding a folk-based twist to the proceedings. The group has prepared a sizable platform on which Rohit will record a lavish performance that will serve as the focal point of the conclusion. It is anticipated that Ajay would join the shoot in the coming days."

There were reportedly 500 or more individuals at the Vile Parle set on the first day of filming. The source further added, "The scene needed a huge crowd. Thus, the individuals assembled in the scene were included by the production team. It is anticipated that filming will go on until September 11."

It is the follow-up to Singham Returns (2014) and the fifth instalment of Rohit Shetty's Cop Universe. Alongside Ajay are Kareena Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff, Arjun Kapoor, Ranveer, who is returning to his character from the 2018 film Simmba, and Akshay, who previously featured in Rohit's 2021 film Sooryavanshi. The action movie also stars Ashutosh Rana, Jackie Shroff, Siddhartha Jadhav, Dayanand Shetty, and Shweta Tiwari.

The release of Singham Again is slated for Diwali 2024. Under the working title Singham 3, the movie was first announced in September 2017. The actual title was revealed in December 2022.
