Fawad Khan, a Pakistani actor, denounced the Pahalgam terror incident on social media. His remarks coincide with the announcement of a ban on Pakistani artists by the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE). Fawad was eager to return to Bollywood with the movie Abir Gulaal, which also starred Vaani Kapoor. On May 9, the movie was supposed to be released.
Ashoke Dubey, the general secretary of the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE), told news agency ANI that the fraternity has resolved to take action against its members who are working with Pakistani artists and technicians because the issue is of national significance. He stated, "The continuous attacks, including the recent one in Pahalgam on our tourists, are shameful. We have again issued a press release stating that if any of our members are found working with Pakistani artists or technicians, we will take action against them and stop working with them."

Fawad had previously acted in Hindi movies such as Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Khoobsurat, and Kapoor and Sons. In addition to expressing her sorrow about the tragedy, he wrote, “Have been numb, at a loss for words since the time I have seen the attack on innocent people in Pahalgam. Gutted. Devastated. My prayers are with the families.”
According to earlier reports, the Information and Broadcasting (I&B) ministry has made the decision to forbid Abir Gulaal's release in India. This happened after the terror attack, when many called for a boycott of Pakistani artists. According to reports, in response to the Pahalgam Terror Attack, FWICE has reintroduced the general boycott of all Pakistani artists. Fawad Khan made his Bollywood comeback with Abir Gulaal. His most recent appearance was in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. Following the Uri attack, Pakistani artists were prohibited from performing in India.
