Kriti Sanon Joins Shahid Kapoor & Rashmika Mandanna in Cocktail 2?

Deepika Padukone, Saif Ali Khan, and Diana Penty played the main leads in Cocktail, which came out in 2012. Fans adored the film's twisted best-friend plot, which helped it become a box office blockbuster. Dinesh Vijan's Cocktail also changed the course of Deepika Padukone's career. With this movie, she made a name for herself as a diva with amazing talent. Currently, there are rumours circulating online that Cocktail 2 is being developed.

Shahid Kapoor was finally confirmed to play the protagonist in the Cocktail sequel, despite rumours that Kartik Aaryan was in talks. It was previously disclosed that the Kabir Singh actor verbally confirmed the project to director Homi Adajania and producer Dinesh Vijan. 

Kriti Sanon to step into Deepika Padukone's shoes?

According to reports, Kriti Sanon and Shahid Kapoor will take the lead. Luv Rajan and Dinesh Vijan allegedly collaborated on this project. Rashmika Mandanna, the actress from Pushpa 2: The Rule, may also be involved in this production, according to another Peeping Moon report. It has been reported that Shahid Kapoor and Rashmika had been looking for a project together for a while. In 2023, they were meant to be back together for Anees Bazmee's comedic drama, but it never happened. 

Sara Ali Khan and Ananya Panday were reportedly also in the running to portray the two female stars in the romantic triangle. It appears from the most recent update that plans have changed. It's unclear if the producers changed their minds or if the actresses rejected the movie.

Speaking of Kriti Sanon and Shahid Kapoor, they costarred in Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya. They were adored for their chemistry. According to a rumour on the entertainment news website Pinkvilla, Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon have been confirmed, but the search for a second actress is still ongoing. Homi Adajania will helm the film, which was written by Luv Ranjan. The portal was informed by a source that Cocktail 2's script has plenty of humorous and lighthearted scenes. The main topic will be friendship.

Neither the producers nor the main cast has confirmed these rumours as of yet. However, a love triangle story including Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Rashmika Mandanna will be intriguing to see.
