CID, Aahat, & more classic TV shows to return on TV screens?

Numerous Bollywood films are getting theatrical re-releases. Many popular films, including Tumbbad, Gangs of Wasseypur, Sholay, and Rehnaa Hai Tere Dil Mein, are being re-released and are generating a lot of hype among the general public. It appears that the trend of classic TV series making a comeback is starting to take hold. The most recognizable investigative TV criminal thriller, CID, is returning to SonyTV, according to reports on leading media platforms.

The rumour claims that CID is getting ready for a makeover and will run again on TV after six years off. October is when it's reportedly going to get revamped. A lot of the show's characters were iconic. ACP Pradyuman played by Shivaji Satam, Inspector Daya played by Dayanand Shetty, Senior Inspector Abhijeet by Aditya Srivastava, Dr. Salunkhe played by Narendra Gupta, and many others. Fredericks was portrayed by Dinesh Phadnis. The actor however passed away in December of 2023.

Iconic TV shows to shine on TV again?

The entertainment news portal's source claims that SonyTV intends to bring back the series and release a new season. The ensemble is still unclear, though. The network has not acknowledged or refuted the rumours as of yet. In addition, there is a rumour circulating on social media that the channel intends to bring back the well-liked horror series Aahat. It's possible that the show that was highly talked about and gave viewers shivers will make a comeback on television. However, nothing has been confirmed as of yet.

Will the return of CID and Aahat, two well-liked shows, create enough buzz to propel the show's Total Viewers to new heights? TV series like Anupamaa, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar, Jhanak, Meiin and various others are now dominating the TRP ranking. Laughter Chef's: Fun Unlimited, Khatron Ke Khiladi 16, and numerous other reality series are also included in the top 10.
