The upcoming movie Street Fighter will mark Bollywood actor Vidyut Jammwal's Hollywood debut. He is well-known for his parts in Commando and Khuda Hafiz. He will co-star with a cast of celebrities. Deadline claims that the movie is an adaptation of the well-known video game of the same name from the Legendary company. Alongside him will be Jason Momoa, Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson, David Dastmalchian, Roman Reigns, Orville Peck, Cody Rhodes, Andrew Schulz, Noah Centineo, Callina Liang, and Andrew Koji.

The 44-year-old actor is set to play Dhalsim in the movie, according to Hollywood news site Deadline. Street Fighter is directed by Kitao Sakurai, who is also known for Bad Trip and Aardvark, and is based on the Capcom video games. Although it hasn't been verified, there have been rumours that WWE star Cody Rhodes will play Guile.

Vidyut Jammwal's Big Breakthrough:

Dalsim, a yogi who can spew fire, will be portrayed by Vidyut. He is a gentle man who strives to provide for his family. Andrew will portray Ryu, while Noah will portray Ken, Callina will portray Chun-Li, David will portray M. Bison, Cody will portray Guile, Jason will portray Blanka, Curtis will portray Balrog, Orville will portray Vega, Schulz will portray Dan Hibiki, Roman will portray Akuma, and Hirooki Goto will portray E. Honda.

The video game series, which was formally introduced in 1987, featured fierce one-on-one fights between teams of martial artists and was organised by M. Bison as a worldwide fighting competition. Since the launch, over 55 million copies have been sold globally. Raúl Juliá (in his last movie role) played the antagonist M Bison, and Jean-Claude Van Damme played Guile in the 1994 film adaptation. Despite receiving negative reviews, the movie made $99 million, making it a moderate commercial success.

Before starring in his own highly profitable Commando film series, Vidyut Jamwal made his Hindi film debut as a villain in John Abraham's Force (2011). His most recent appearance was in the sports action movie Crack: Jeetegaa Toh Jiyegaa, which also starred Amy Jackson, Arjun Rampal, and Nora Fatehi. The Aditya Datt-directed movie debuted in theatres on February 23, 2024; however, it was a box office failure.
