Rifle Club, a Malayalam black comedic action thriller, is now available on OTT. Vijayaraghavan, Dileesh Pothan, Vani Viswanath, Suresh Krishna, Vineeth Kumar, and Surabhi Lakshmi play important parts in the Aashiq Abu-directed film. The movie didn't quite get the kind of response the producers had hoped for when it first came out in theatres on December 19, 2024. However, viewers can now enjoy its distinct style and innovative narrative from the comfort of their homes thanks to its OTT release.
Anurag Kashyap also makes his Malayalam cinema debut in Rifle Club. In the movie, he portrays Dayanand Bare. Big Dawgs star Hanumankind also appears in the film. On December 19, Rifle Club was released in theatres. It becomes accessible on OTT a few weeks later (starting on January 16). On Instagram, Netflix posted, "Don't let anyone tell you that you can't start something new mid-Jan. #NextOnNetflix," along with the dates of upcoming OTT releases.
Rifle Club OTT Release Date Revealed:
The film centres on Dayanand Bare, an underworld don who seeks revenge for the death of his son. In Wayanad, Kerala, a couple seeks safety in a solitary rifle club after unintentionally killing their son. Their dangerous condition is further compounded by the fact that the son is the child of an underworld don.
In an attempt to evade the ensuing problems, they hide among other rifle club members. After the don attacks the club, the members must defend both the couple and their reputation. But when Shah Jahan, a movie star, visits the club to inquire about finding a role in his upcoming film, the situation takes an unexpected turn. You'll be on the edge of your seat for what comes next.
IMDb gave the film a favourable rating of 7.5. For their acting prowess, Anurag Kashyap and others received praise. According to sources, Rifle Club earned Rs 30 crore at the box office.
