SHOCKING! Lucas Bravo aka Chef Gabriel Exits Emily in Paris Season 5?

The world fell head over heels for Lucas Bravo when he first appeared as Gabriel in Emily in Paris. He not only won hearts but also Emily's (Lily Collins) heart as a hot chef in Paris. We have yet to learn whether Emily and Gabriel will end up together despite the show's four seasons to date. Their love story is becoming more complicated with each new season.

Emily in Paris Season 5 was confirmed by the producers following the fourth season. Lucas is unsure, though, if he will be back for the upcoming season. The actor also talked extensively about how he no longer feels a connection to his character. In an interview with Indie Wire, Lucas claimed that although the "sexy chef" was a big part of him in Season 1, the decisions his character makes and the path the show's writers force him to follow caused them to drift apart season after season. He feels he has never been so far away from Bravo.

Emily in Paris chef takes an exit?

Lucas Bravo stated further that the dynamics of his character shifted when the creators prevented him from being aware of his surroundings. He enjoys how his character constantly takes advantage of others, is totally absorbed in the translation, and is unaware of the world around them. When he saw that everyone was taking advantage of Gabriel, he no longer enjoyed playing. The actor stated, "I really grew apart from him."

Talking about his role in season 5 of Emily in Paris he said, "It makes me question if I want to be part of Season 5 because my contract ends in Season 4. I really want to see if Gabriel gets back to his fun, cheeky, playful, alive self. Because three seasons of playing melancholic, sad, depressed, and lost is not fun anymore. It’s a comedy; everybody is having fun around me; everybody is jumping around; and I’m just slowly sinking into god knows what."
