Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur's lives were permanently altered by the 2013 film Aashiqui 2. The romantic musical drama, which was directed by Mohit Suri, was adored for its plot, acting, and soundtrack. The on-screen chemistry between Shraddha and Aditya was also adored. The film elevated the pair to stardom and significantly advanced their careers. The third instalment, featuring Kartik Aaryan, will be released soon. However, there are rumours that Shraddha Kapoor will be back in the third instalment.
The Stree 2 actress was recently asked if Aashiqui 3 was in the works at the NDTV Summit 2024. "Not that I'm aware of," Shraddha Kapoor replied. But she thinks the creators would create something really intriguing if they considered a sequel. The actress talked about how much love and gratitude Aashiqui showed her. She said, "The story—that's the film where everything changed for me."

Shraddha Kapoor added in this entertainment news that it would be fantastic if the creators had something in mind for the upcoming film. "And you know, if I feel like it is something challenging for me as an actor, something different for me to do, I would be open to it," Kapoor said.
According to rumours, Triptii Dimri and Kartik Aaryan could co-star in Aashiqui 3. The film's female lead has not yet been formally chosen by the producers, though. Triptii and Kartik will appear together in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, directed by Anees Bazmee.
However, 2024 has been a fantastic year for Shraddha Kapoor. At the box office, her film Stree 2 has made over Rs 600 crore. The film, which was directed by Amar Kaushik, also features Aparshakti Khurana, Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, and Abhishek Banerjee. The producers have already stated that the actress is included in Stree 3.
