War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan and NTR Jr., is the most awaited movie in Indian cinema, and its trailer was released just a day ago, and the makers generated quite a stir. Since the creators have created six distinct action scenes to transport viewers throughout the course of the Independence Day 2025 weekend, there has been a great deal of discussion over the visuals and scope of this YRF Spy Universe Saga. There is a lot of discussion over how War 2 meets international filmmaking standards.

In contrast, Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan cost about ₹330 crore, while Tiger 3 was made on a budget of ₹300 crore plus an additional ₹50 crore for marketing. War 2 has unquestionably outperformed both, establishing a new standard for Bollywood's production expenditures. Because the stakes are so high, the movie's box office performance will be vital to its profitability, particularly for distributors and exhibitors.

War 2 film breaks records:

According to reports, Hrithik Roshan received an upfront payment of Rs. 50 crore along with a back-end profit-sharing agreement, while NTR Jr. received a paycheck for Rs. 70 crore for War 2. Anil Kapoor is receiving Rs. 10 crores for War 2, while Kiara Advani has received Rs. 15 crores. Ayan Mukerji received a sizeable check for Rs. 30 crores from the acting fees alone, which brought in Rs. 150 crores. A source revealed, "The film was filmed on an unthinkable scale with the remaining Rs. 220 crores. War 2's visuals will take the audience on an unforgettable ride."

War 2 must make at least ₹270–280 crore nett at the Indian box office in order to qualify as a clean HIT. While a collection of ₹420–430 crore or more would formally be a blockbuster, one in the ₹340–350 crore range would be considered a great smash. Theatrical success is still crucial for profit margins, even though pre-release agreements, OTT rights, and satellite sales will recover a significant amount of the budget. Even though the profit share from foreign markets is very small, we can anticipate that the global numbers will help the movie, as it is anticipated to perform well elsewhere as well.
