The first Indian male actor to walk the carpet at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, Shah Rukh Khan, the adored Bollywood star, finally made his magnificent Met Gala debut on May 5. Wearing a gorgeous black suit by Indian superstar designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee, SRK epitomised elegance and legacy. In a subtle homage to "King Khan," he wore a silk sherwani jacket with fitted black pants and a stunning array of stacked necklaces across his chest, some of which included diamond-studded letter K pendants.
The focal point was a long pendant in the letter K, adorned with crystals. A rare Patek Philippe Grand watch completed his ensemble. He showed off his rose gold-dialled Patek Philippe Grand Complication Minute Repeater Perpetual Calendar watch in flair. It's pricey, of course! The watch costs about $2 million (Rs 16 crore), according to GQ. The watch's outrageous price tag could easily purchase a number of opulent, high-end vehicles. However, he deserves it all since he is Shah Rukh Khan, the King of the World!

On the biggest night in fashion, though, the guy behind King Khan seemed modest and grounded. However, one item on his wrist subtly captured the attention. He was wearing the extremely rare Patek Philippe Grand Complications 6300G, the most intricate wristwatch ever made by the Swiss watchmaker, and we were able to rapidly solve the puzzle thanks to Samsung's "Circle to Search" feature. The cost? An incredible $2.5 million.
On social media, a number of Shah Rukh Khan's recordings from the occasion have gone viral. He explained in one of the films why he went to the 2025 Met Gala. He said, "I have little kids who are very excited about the Met. I don’t know if I would have come here on my own, but when Sabya suggested it, they went ‘wow’. I still don’t know if that was ‘wow, they called you’ or ‘wow, you’ll be good on it’."
In addition to Shah Rukh Khan, numerous other Indian celebrities also attended the esteemed event. Isha Ambani, Kiara Advani, Priyanka Chopra, and numerous more were present at the occasion. Everyone's attention was drawn to Kiara Advani's adorable baby bump. At the 2025 Met Gala, Diljit Dosanjh added a touch of Punjabi culture.
