Prior to the Indian Premier League (IPL 2025) Match 11 on Sunday, March 30, former India great and Rajasthan Royals (RR) coach Rahul Dravid showed his everlasting commitment to his position. Notably, the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and the local team, RR, faced off in Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati, their alternate home field.

Fans were struck speechless by Dravid's performance of "The Wall" just before the game began. Both cricket analysts and supporters complimented his wheelchair-bound inspection of the field. The cricket community was abuzz after Ambati Rayudu made the statement while Sanjay Manjrekar and Rayudu were on TV.

After playing in a local competition in Bengaluru, Dravid had a leg injury that left him in a wheelchair before the 2025 Indian Premier League. Speaking on the JioHotstar pre-match broadcast, former cricket players Ambati Rayudu and Sanjay Manjrekar were taken aback by the scenario.

Manjrekar said, “I live in a bubble. I didn’t know that he was injured. What happened to him, do you know that? What leg injury? CFL, AFL, something like that which happens, right Ambati? In the knee, or acl probably." Rayudu quipped, “My attention is going to the wheelchair. Is he allowed in square?”

Manjrekar then concluded by saying, “The way Ambati’s brain works, very few are like that. That's why his batting was different. This is Rahul Dravid. If he has given his commitment, he will do it whatever happens, because he is a very good friend of mine and you won’t find a better person than him."

Speaking of the game, Nitish Rana's lightning-fast 81-run knock helped the hosts to a respectable 182 runs. Rana delivered a game-changing performance, facing just 36 balls and showcasing his array of beautiful skills.

CSK got off to a bad start, losing Rachin Ravindra's wicket up front while chasing a goal of 183 runs. The run chase was then further disrupted by poor scoring and frequent wicket losses. The Rajasthan Royals ultimately defeated the Chennai Super Kings by a margin of six runs. CSK is still looking for their first IPL victory after this.
