Jofra Archer has been one of the only few players around the world who has had such an anticipated career even though having played just a handful of matches. He has been one of the most fearful names when it comes to fast bowling in the last few years.

He has played just 13 tests, 27 One Day Internationals, and 29 T20 Internationals in his career where he has taken away 42, 47, and 35 wickets respectively. The aggression in his bowling has been the most deadly factor about him. He is a proper hard hitter of the ball and makes a fantastic lower-order batter for his team.

He has also participated in several T20 tournaments around the world having played 158 T20 games in his career so far. He scalped 197 wickets in these matches with an economy of 7.71 and has scored 620 runs with the bat too.

Jofra Archer will join Rajasthan Royals for IPL 2025

One of the most sought-after players in the last couple of years of the Indian Premier League, Archer has been a dangerous commodity. He has been a part of only two teams so far - Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians.

Playing a total of 40 matches, he has picked up 48 wickets with an economy of 7.43. He has batted well with a strike rate of 155.46 and has scored 199 runs in these games.

He started his career with the Rajasthan Royals in 2018 wherein with an economy of 8.36, he took 15 wickets. His best performance came not long after in 2020. He was sensational that year with the ball as well as the bat. He registered 20 wickets and 113 runs in 14 games in IPL 2020.

Due to injuries, he couldn’t play the next 2 seasons and was part of the MI squad for 2022 & 2023. He had a poor run in 2023 while skipping the 2024 season for his recovery and that’s why the Mumbai team decided to let him go.

In the mega-auctions for IPL 2025, he was sold for a whopping amount of Rs 12.5 crores back to the team he started his IPL career with, the Rajasthan Royals.
