577 players were up for grabs at the Indian Premier League's (IPL 2025) mega auction, which took place in Jeddah on November 24 and 25. When Punjab Kings paid Rs. 26.75 crore to recruit Shreyas Iyer, it created a stir early in the auction. Yuzvendra Chahal was signed for the same amount as Arshdeep Singh, who was retained for Rs. 18 crore. Aaron Hardie, Marco Jansen, and Azmatullah Omarzai were among the useful foreign all-round options PBKS obtained on the second day.
Their most notable acquisition was unquestionably Indian batter Shreyas Iyer, who cost Rs 26.75 cr, making him the second most expensive player in IPL history. A number of Indian and foreign all-rounders, including Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis, Nehal Wadhera, and Harpreet Brar, were also added to PBKS' roster.
