The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Men’s Selection Committee, on Wednesday, September 9, announced the India A squad for the upcoming home series against Australia A, starting on Tuesday, September 22.
The series comprises two multi-day games and three one-day games. All the games will be played at the Cricket Association Puducherry Siechem Ground in Puducherry.
Devdutt Padikkal will lead the multi-day squad, with Sai Sudharsan named his deputy. On the other hand, Ruturaj Gaikwad will captain the India A One-Day squad, with Devdutt Padikkal named as his deputy.
Interestingly, all-rounder Hardik Pandya has been included in the India A squad for three one-day games, subject to fitness clearance. The all-rounder was last in action during the IPL 2026 season.
Unfortunately, Hardik had missed part of the IPL 2026 campaign with back spasms and suffered a leg strain while training at the CoE ahead of the ODI series against Afghanistan in June
