Legendary batsman and former South African captain AB de Villiers has supported wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson to represent India in all three forms. With a scorching 111 off 47 balls against Bangladesh in Hyderabad on October 12 and an outstanding 107 off 50 balls in the opening Twenty20 International match against South Africa on November 8 at Kingsmead, Durban, Samson, who has been in outstanding form, recently smashed two T20I hundreds in a row.
The legendary player from South Africa pleaded with the Indian selectors to let Samson play for the country in all three formats. The 29-year-old has improved his game, De Villiers added, and he questioned if the new coaching staff was involved.
Sanju Samson gets uplifted by AB de Villiers:
A video on Villier's YouTube channel shows him talking about Sanju Samson. He says, "Sanju has upped the gear in his game. I hope the selectors are watching this for all the formats. I want to see this guy play all the formats. I think he is someone who is really, really special, someone who can play all the formats in all conditions around the world. Something has clicked in the Sanju Samson world; whether it's the coaching staff, I doubt it."
He further adds, "I am incredibly proud of the guy. I say proud because I do have a personal connection with him. We have been in touch for a number of years now. I have always been a big fan of Sanju Samson; I just love the way he plays, and I always want him to do well."

After a brilliant century against Bangladesh in Hyderabad last month, Samson entered the series. The Pulluvila-born player, who has now scored two consecutive hundreds, will try to continue his purple patch when India plays South Africa in the second Twenty20 International on Sunday, November 10 at Gqeberha.
