Bollywood star Salman Khan partnered with veteran Indian cricketer Ajinkya Rahane to support the Sneh Asha Foundation's innovative technology and education initiative at Bandra West's Rangsharda Auditorium. The event, which took place on June 20, was a significant step toward providing low-income kids with digital connectivity and educational resources. The organisation welcomed 12 new students into its flagship scholarship program and announced the opening of 10 brand-new, cutting-edge computer laboratories in BMC and TMC schools.
Over 800 people attended the June 20 event, which included benefactors, government representatives, business executives, and educators. Rahane expressed his ideas on empowering young pupils and expressed his joy at joining the cause. Bollywood star Salman Khan gave the scholarship recipients medals and personalised presents in addition to giving the Foundation thirty brand-new laptops. Ten state-of-the-art computer labs with more than 600 high-performance equipment were also inaugurated during the ceremony. More than 15,000 students in Grades 6–10 are expected to directly benefit from these labs. From fundamental computer literacy to more complex ideas like coding, artificial intelligence, and data analysis, the centres are made to teach students a broad spectrum of digital abilities.
Additionally, Batch 3 of the Sneh Asha Scholarship Program was celebrated throughout the event. This program provides comprehensive assistance, including coaching, college tuition, mentorship, laptops, and career counselling, to youngsters from underprivileged communities. Three specialised tracks—Saraswati (for Class 10 toppers), Shakti (graduate), and Laxmi (post-graduation)—are used to nurture the academics.
