When India played Namibia in the T20 World Cup 2026 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, Arshdeep Singh gave the team a double treat. In addition to outpacing Jan Frylinck with a deft, slower delivery, the left-arm pacer celebrated his 250th T20 wicket in a manner reminiscent of Cristiano Ronaldo's.
Arshdeep took the pace off at 120 kph in the fourth over by rolling his fingertips over the ball. The Namibian batsman went through the pull shot early and miscued it to deep mid-wicket, where Shivam Dube made a secure catch. He bowled it back of a length, utterly misleading Frylinck. As the Delhi stadium erupted in cheers, Arshdeep jumped high into the air in Ronaldo's signature "Siu" celebration after taking the wicket.

The 27-year-old also left his mark on history with the wicket. In all T20s, he took 250 wickets. With a bowling average of 22.46 and an economy rate of 8.55, he has taken 250 wickets in 188 T20 matches and 186 innings. At the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Namibia chose to bowl against India after winning the toss earlier in the match.
The Men in Blue got off to a scorching start in the game thanks to Ishan Kishan (61 runs from 24 balls) and Sanju Samson (22 runs from 8 balls). Later, India reached 209/9 in the first innings thanks to a clutch effort from Hardik Pandya (52 runs off 28 balls).
Gerhard Erasmus, who claimed four wickets and conceded 20 runs at an economy rate of 5.00, spearheaded Namibia's bowling effort. India must limit the 210-run target in the second innings in order to win. The USA, Namibia, the Netherlands, and Pakistan are in Group A of the 2026 T20 World Cup, along with the Men in Blue.
