Before India and New Zealand's second Twenty20 International in Raipur, veteran all-rounder Hardik Pandya and former India spinner Murali Kartik got into a furious argument on the field. Videos of the interaction instantly went viral on social media. Hardik and Kartik were seen on camera having a lively discussion close to the boundary ropes. Both Kartik and Pandya's heated body language and emotive gestures were evident during the brief exchange.
Hardik persisted in expressing his annoyance despite the former spinner's apparent attempts to clarify his viewpoint. The particulars of Hardik and Karthik's argument, however, are yet unknown. During the game, this occurrence became a heated topic among the crowd.

In the second Twenty20 International, Hardik Pandya performed satisfactorily. Despite not having a chance to bat, he bowled three overs and claimed one wicket for 25 runs, which is remarkable given that New Zealand scored a substantial 208 runs in their 20 overs. Hardik got 25 runs off 16 balls in the opening Twenty20 International. Due to injuries, he has recently missed multiple games for India; his return has improved the team.
India seized a vital 2-0 lead in the five-match series after dominating the chase. However, Suryakumar Yadav's comeback to form following a run of subpar batting performances was crucial. With an undefeated knock of 82 off 37 balls, the right-hander was at the top of his game.
After the match, Suryakumar Yadav said, “As I’ve said before, I was batting really well in the nets. Everything I did back home over the last two or three weeks helped. I got a good break to spend time with my family and friends, had good practice sessions, and I’m really enjoying what’s happening right now."
