Australia entered this match with a lot of resolve following a dismal defeat in Sydney and the frustration of being unable to complete the game because of the weather. India's start made it seem as though their batting score would be below standard, but a great bowling effort in the middle and late overs of the match gave the home team the victory.

In the second Twenty20 International at Manuka Oval, the Australian women's team defeated the Indian women's team by 19 runs, tying the series at one. When asked to bat first, Georgia Voll's brilliant 88 off 57 balls led the hosts to a 100-run opening partnership with Beth Mooney. A higher total was inevitable at 128 without loss in the 15th over, but India's bowlers impressively recovered to limit them to 163/5.

Voll deservedly won player of the game because of her perseverance, which set an example for her colleagues and gave them a solid foundation on which to grow. Even though Australia's batting innings ended disappointingly, the total was high enough to give the bowlers something to defend, and they did everything in their power to do so.

Smriti Mandhana and Shafali had a fantastic starting partnership for India, but the scoring pace halted once Shafali was removed. Though Sutherland turned the tide of the contest with some extremely tight overs and was eventually rewarded with two wickets late in the game, Richa and Harmanpreet put on another respectable partnership.

Ashleigh Gardner, a star all-rounder, had another fantastic day with the ball. In her allotted four overs, the 28-year-old took three wickets and gave up just 22 runs. Jemimah Rodrigues, Richa Ghosh, and Deepti Sharma were among Gardner's victims, and they were essential in the team's victory.

Many people weren't surprised when Georgia Voll earned Player of the Match. Eleven boundaries and a six helped the right-handed batsman reach a 57-ball 88. The team reached a decent aim thanks to her 31-ball fifty, which kept the scoreboard moving.
