There have been claims of match-fixing during the 2024–25 Bangladesh Premier League season. According to the report, up to eight games earlier, the Anti-Corruption Unit received tips about probable match or spot manipulation. Cricbuzz claims that the Anti-Corruption Unit is attentively examining the actions of the players and the other four teams. It's important to note that the unit has determined that six of the accused players have played for Bangladesh; the other two are foreign players and two are not capped.
The most recent edition of BPL has been widely criticized due to numerous controversies. Due to nonpayment of dues and salaries, it appears that foreign players planned to boycott the league. Furthermore, the league is thought to be losing a lot of money due to low attendance and needless expenditure on pointless things. To add to the list of disputes, there have been accusations of match-fixing.

BCB president Faruque Ahmed said, "Look, I cannot make any official comment in this regard until the investigation is completed because there is a protocol that we need to follow. The whole list and the events that happen during the tournament are noted and the investigation is done later. If during the investigation something comes up, then you know the punishment is quite harsh, and if I find out something, their life will be quite different because I won't spare anyone guilty. The decision will be taken once and for all, and it will be exemplary."
