A number of teams have already begun preparing for the Champions Trophy 2025, the highly anticipated ICC (International Cricket Council) mega cricket event. However, before hosting the 50-over match, Pakistan adopted a slightly different strategy than sides like India, who have favoured playing bilateral series against teams like England.

Pakistan's cricket season is underway, and New Zealand and South Africa will play the home team in a tri-series before the Champions Trophy. At Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium, hosts Pakistan and New Zealand will play the opening match of the tri-nation series.

Prior to the series, all three captains can be seen hanging out and exploring the ancient city of Lahore together. The Pakistan captain, Muhammad Rizwan, is seen taking Mitchell Santner and Temba Bavuma shopping for souvenirs in Lahore in a video posted by Pakistan Cricket's official X handle.

Rizwan, Santner, and Bavuma Go Street Shopping:

The nation's top cricket governing body recently released a video in which Rizwan was spotted going shopping with captains Mitchell Santner (NZ) and Temba Bavuma (SA) in the bustling city of Karachi. Both captains were observed attempting to comprehend the details of the merchandise displayed with considerable zeal as Rizwan explained various aspects. Currently, a number of fans are enjoying the Pakistani contingent's hospitality.

First, Rizwan shows them carpets and explains the characteristics of other Pakistani traditional goods. Additionally, he may be seen introducing Santner to two elephants—one brown and one white. He refers to the white elephant as belonging to New Zealand and the darker one as belonging to Pakistan.

Speaking of the tri-series, the competition is scheduled to begin on Saturday, February 8. The inaugural match will be between the dark horses, New Zealand, and the hosts, Pakistan. On February 10, South Africa and the Kiwis will play their next match. On February 12, there will be another game in which Pakistan and South Africa square off. On February 14, however, the tournament's final will take place at Karachi's recently renovated National Stadium.
