Parthiv Patel, the assistant batting coach for the Gujarat Titans (GT), chastised a fan for spreading false information about him in relation to a comment about Rohit Sharma. According to the fake quote, Parthiv made a crude remark about MI and Rohit. In a brief conversation with the announcers during the Titans' batting in the first innings of the game, Patel discussed his tenure with the team and the current match.
On social media platform X, a person created a fake remark regarding Rohit Sharma and included a screenshot of the exchange. The alleged statements were made by the former Indian cricket player in an interview with commentators during the GT vs. MI IPL 2025 (Indian Premier League) match in the middle of the innings. But by sharing the user's post, the coach disproved the untrue assertion.
Parthiv Patel clears the air:
The comment was about the Mumbai Indians' captaincy change from Rohit to Hardik Pandya last year; MI lost the 2025 Indian Premier League for the second time in a row, and the quote said that the team was missing Rohit as captain. However, as he referenced the post, Parthiv refuted the facts and made a direct statement. Using his 'X' handle, Patel wrote, "Come on, guys. I've got some great collabs and content if you want impressions. Why lie about me? This isn't the first time something like this has happened in the cricket world."
Pat Cummins was unjustly accused a few days prior of making remarks on the Champions Trophy 2025 venue debate involving India. Later, the player explained the circumstances on Twitter. In the current IPL 2025, MI has faced the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and GT in two games, both of which they have lost. MI's troubles from the previous season have continued, as they have yet to capture a single victory despite having a good roster. In the next games, captain Hardik Pandya and the team will be trying to find methods to recover. However, after overcoming MI, GT captain Shubman Gill would be happy with his team's performance. The host team, who had also lost their opening match, won easily.
