On September 23, Pakistan and Sri Lanka will play their second game of the Asia Cup 2025 Super Four round at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. Both teams will play each other for the first time in the competition. Under the leadership of Charith Asalanka, Sri Lanka won three straight games and went undefeated in the group stage. They easily won by six wickets against Afghanistan, four wickets against Hong Kong, and six wickets against Bangladesh.
Sri Lanka advanced to the Super Four round after finishing first in the group B points table with six points. But in their opening match in the Super Four stage, they suffered a crushing defeat at the hands of Bangladesh, losing by four wickets. Having lost to India for the second time in the Asia Cup, Salman Ali Agha's Pakistan will be feeling less confident. Their first match in the Super Fours was this one. A victory on Tuesday would help the Men in Green get their campaign back on track.
